Who the Hell Keeps Calling Me?

When my phone rings I already know it’s some payday loan company looking for money. When I initially got the loans, I had every intention of paying them back but when things got tight I was forced to make sacrifices and the loans were the first to go… and that’s when the calls started.

In the beginning, I used to answer the phone just to tell them that I wasn’t going to pay and to stop calling me. I have to admit that I used to get great satisfaction in harassing them into hanging up on me before they got a chance to dig into me about the debt. I made a game out of it.

Then it hit me. Why not ignore the calls altogether and just go about my business? The plan sounded simple enough so that’s what I started doing and before I knew it, the calls slowed down to the point where my phone barely even rang.

You see, every time you talk to them you’re just confirming that you’re still breathing and your contact information is correct. When you don’t respond, they don't know what to think. I like to keep them guessing but every now and then I get curious and want to know who the hell keeps calling me. That’s why I created my newest blog called: Bill Collectors Call Me!!!

Bill Collectors Friends and Family Plan

When it comes to collections, bill collectors believe in equal opportunity harassment. If you stop answering your phones, they don’t care... they’ll just call your family and friends. When that doesn't work, they’ll call your job. They'll do whatever it takes to get you to call them back.

Typically, information is gathered from loan applications where you’ve listed friends and family members as references. As for myself, I only list friends that are going through their own financial turmoil so I never have to worry about debt collectors calling them looking for me because they don’t answer their phones either. It just works out.

Having bad credit is nothing to be ashamed of. There are countless others who've used poor judgment and made bad financial decisions. Bad credit is not a death sentence. With the right amount of focus and commitment, anyone can improve their current credit and financial status in just a few months.

Bill Collectors Hate Me says: This collection letter is so ridiculous that it’s funny. Never mind the fact that it was delivered by email, this letter breaks just about every debt collection law known to mankind. I published this letter because I wanted to expose the type of nonsense that some collection agencies use in an attempt to scare people into paying back a debt. I would strongly advise anyone who receives such a letter to promptly toss it in the trash. I am seriously considering suing this company for the maximum amount allowed by law which is $1000 per violation.

Collections Most Wanted

Picture this: A group of collection agents sitting in a boardroom dressed in business casual attire staring up at the collections manager standing next to a huge whiteboard. With dry erase marker in hand, he goes over a list of “Collections Most Wanted”. It’s like "draft day" for bill collectors.

Every collection agency has a list of “Untouchables”. An elite group of America's most notorious debtors. They're next to impossible to engage with, let alone convince them to pay!

These are not your ordinary debtors. They are trained professionals. Self-taught from years of experience in the art of "Debt Dodging": (A form of collection counter intelligence).

Anything a collection agent throws at them, they have an answer for. Ordinary collection tactics have no affect on them because they are immune to fear and intimidation.

Threats of lawsuits go mostly ignored. They’ve seen it all. Most have been sued at least once, so a summons means absolutely nothing to them. They’ve trained their whole lives for this.

Private numbers, robocallers, spoofing… you name it, they have a counter attack already in place. They’ve spent most their lives learning how to stay “off the grid” and remain invisible.

They are “Collections Most Wanted”. Ghosts, if you will. Are you on their list?
